Viện Hàn lâm Điện ảnh và Khoa học Pháp vừa công bố danh sách đề cử giải thưởng César lần thứ 42. Elle dẫn đầu với 11 đề cử, bằng số lượng dành cho phim hậu chiến Frantz. Tác phẩm tâm lý học đề tài bạo dâm tranh giải "Phim hay nhất" với sáu phim là Divines, Frantz, From The Land Of The Moon, In Bed With Victoria, Slack Bay và The Innocents.

Đây là lần thứ 16 diễn viên The Piano Teacher được đề cử César và cô mới thắng một lần cho vai diễn trong Claude Chabrol.

11 đề cử César là thành công mới với Elle, sau khi vừa đoạt cúp "Phim nước ngoài hay nhất" và "Nữ diễn viên chính xuất sắc" ở giải Quả Cầu Vàng. Isabelle Huppert cũng góp tên trong danh sách tranh giải dành cho nữ diễn viên ở Oscar năm nay.
